Modifying dietary risk behaviors to prevent obesity and dental caries in very young children: results of the Baby Steps to Health pediatric dental pilot.

This is great for several reasons. First, it links MI with self-determination theory. Motivational interviewing doesn’t have to be a standalone behavior change style, and skillful use will incorporate other behavior change theories seamlessly. Secondly, it looks at dental caries and obesity. Obviously, diet and dental caries are linked, so disordered eating would like impact caries. Pretty cool stuff.
